FOR POTENTIAL RESIDENTS
THREE HOMES. ONE BACKYARD. INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.
At Hensley House, we believe life in recovery should be full of fun, movement, and connection.
Our three pet-friendly homes share one massive open backyard, a playground for grown-ups built around brotherhood, community, and adventure.
From daily workouts at Gold’s Gym or in our full garage gym to participating in our flag football, softball, and golf leagues, there is always a team to join and a goal to chase.
After a good sweat, cool off in one of our two pools, hit the sauna or cold plunge, or light up the basketball and pickleball courts under the evening sky.
Inside, you will find next-level entertainment: three gaming stations with PS5s and Xboxes, arcade machines, ping pong and pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, and a music corner with a piano, guitars, and amps ready to jam.
Outside, we have kayaks, cornhole, frisbee golf, full golf sets, grills, smokers, fire pits, bikes, skateboards, an archery range, and a full golf bay.
At Hensley House, recovery is not just about staying sober, it is about rediscovering how to have a damn good time doing it.
WHERE BROTHERHOOD AND ADVENTURE FUEL RECOVERY
At Hensley House, we do not just live together, we grow together. The heartbeat of our homes is sobriety, camaraderie, adventure, and FUN!
We pour time, energy, and funding into unforgettable experiences, all at zero cost to our residents, because joy and connection are powerful medicine.
From skydiving, Six Flags, and paintball tournaments to hunting trips, river floats, concerts, and golf outings across Texas, we do it all as a family.
You will find us at Longhorn games, in deer blinds, behind the wheel at K1 Go Karts, on the water in Port Aransas, or at the range hitting clay pigeons.
Every event is a chance to laugh, bond, and remember how to live fully again.
Our residents stay an average of ten months which is long enough to build real friendships and lasting habits.
Together, we take recovery seriously and we have an absolute blast doing it.
Because at Hensley House, happiness is one of the greatest enemies of relapse.
HOUSE CULTURE & EXPECTATIONS
Hensley House feels like a home…not a sterile waiting room.
We keep things simple, structured, and built on respect. Every man here contributes, shows up, and takes pride in the environment he’s part of.
Standards of Living
- No bunk beds. Every resident has his own space.
- Regular and random drug testing, including breathalyzers.
- Employment required within two weeks of arrival.
- A sponsor required within two weeks.
- Active participation in a 12-Step program.
- Attendance at required recovery meetings.
- No lying in bed or playing video games all day.
- Daily chores assigned and completed.
- Rooms must be kept tidy.
- Residents clean up after themselves — there are no maids here.
Accountability
If any of these expectations aren’t met, the resident receives a behavioral contract.
If that contract is broken, the resident packs his bags and leaves — it’s that simple.
